Some Principles of Success
Over years of experience, training, more experience and uncountable projects, here a few hard-won principles of success I bring to my work:
We create worlds by what we think, feel and say.
Problem-solving is often a merry-go-round. It’s easy, comfortable, bright and shiny… but doesn’t really take you anywhere but where you were. Building on strengths can be a better path if you want to create a better state.
No plan survives its first encounter with reality, but have one anyway.
Trust the process, but keep the goal crystal clear at the same time.
Hierarchy as an organizational operating system is increasingly inadequate to meet the complexity of our challenges. Collaboration is our only hope, Obi Wan.
There is always something bigger going on than how we’re seeing it today.
Good meetings lead to good decisions. Good decisions lead to good culture. A good culture enables a great organization.
